Coyle's
We are the Coyle Family. I am Mary Coyle, I hail from

I came to
I had tried to live the Christian life on my own had had failed. But here was a group of people in which I would be surrounded and protected. I came to Glasgow and there in the Community I met a young man called John. We married in 1988 – 22 years ago. God has blessed us mightily – we have five sons – it has been a real blessing to bring up our children along with other families, to know their support and share holidays, parties, c
elebrations, barbecues, and especially meals together. In the last couple of years we did a course for couples called love and Respect and just now we are doing the Alpha marriage course. Both have been great – they have helped us to grow as a couple and in our love and understanding of each other. John and I loved each other but did not always know how to draw closer together. We have become more open, less defensive, more vulnerable to each other and Jesus, who knows all about vulnerable love – the cross being the perfect example – has blessed our married love more than I could imagine
Our sons are great and we love them very much, we asked them to write a sentence on our family, their faith or the Community. Here is what they said

Kevin (aged 20) - Community provides a caring and supportive environment in which to know God on a personal level.

Peter (aged 18) – I enjoy going on retreats such as Bible week and Kairos weekends that I would only get to go on through Community. I also enjoy the supportive nature of people in Community
The Community of the Risen Christ is a charity registered in Scotland, No:SC 004170
